About
Studio Vær is a Copenhagen-based research and design practice founded by Elaina Keppler and Charlotte Lin Pedersen. Our work explores the entanglements between human and more-than-human worlds — how architecture, landscape, and urban systems can participate in ecological processes rather than merely represent them.
Drawing on backgrounds in architecture, urbanism, and art history, we work through mapping, modeling, and speculative drawing to test how environments might sense, adapt, and co-exist. Each project begins as an inquiry — into a site, a species, a material — and grows through collaboration across disciplines and scales.
Studio Vær has received support from Statens Kunstfond, Dreyers Fond, and the Obel Family Foundation, and our work has been exhibited internationally, from Charlottenborg, C40 Cities, Arkitektforeningen to the Beijing Design Week. We also contribute to academia as lecturers and external examiners and through publishing in journals and books.
